The Ocean Edge marketing team deserves 5 stars—an A+—but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The staff openly admits they are understaffed, and it shows across the entire experience. As a resort guest, I was told I would receive preferred Golf tee times. However, when the booking window opened two weeks prior to our stay, the only options available were 5:00 PM tee times—clearly undesirable—or nothing at all, as local members appear to receive priority. Forcing me to play Golf off property which takes more time. More concerning, the resort lost my father’s golf clubs and initially showed little urgency in resolving the issue, placing blame on FedEx. Only after FedEx confirmed the delivery date, time and signer, did the resort locate the clubs in their own shipping and receiving area. The property itself is large and spread across both sides of a main road, which is manageable in theory. However, the advertised “on-demand shuttle service” is unreliable at best. Multiple times today, my kids, wife and I waited over an hour for a shuttle, and it often took 30 minutes just to reach someone by phone. I stayed for 3 days and we consistently faced service issue in all of the restaurants, we were given a 15 minute wait at a mostly empty restaurant. Staff was friendly and welcoming but did not make consistent efforts to accommodate to basic requests like being seated on time. The accommodations are in need of deep cleaning and renovations. While this part of the cape is beautiful and the main building itself is magical, the service and accommodations need improvement specifically in the restaurants.

We had a disappointing stay at Ocean Edge. We stayed in villas at Bay Pines. we had a reservations for two 3BR villas that we made well in advance and at check in, they told us we could only have one 3BR and one 2BR as they were oversold (!). Our room (PBC103) was not in good condion - overall tired and musty and had several plumbing issues that took 3 days to address. The efforts by the staff to make amends, while consistent, failed to make up for this substandard accomodation. Food service throughout was also unacceptably slow - the kitchen seemed overwhelmed, perhaps by multiple concurrent weddings. A+ location - the beach and the front lawn are great for families. The pool on the Mansion side is a bit small. We did not go to the other side (it is a drive, not a walk).

I only stayed here for one night while passing through, but the experience was smooth from start to finish. Check-in didn’t take long, and the staff were welcoming even though I arrived a bit late. The room was prepared and clean, which I appreciated after a long day of travel. The environment is quiet, which made it easy to rest before continuing my trip the next morning

Best stay ever for my non vacation! I was here while working the Blizzard of 26 for power restoration. Even with a minimal and power issues the staff was super helpful and always happy. I can't wait to bring my wife and boys back for a weekend this summer!
